DOVER, DE, October 18, 2024 — Delaware State University (DSU) is set to transform the state’s entrepreneurial landscape with the launch of its Center for Urban Revitalization and Entrepreneurship (The DSU CURE). On October 24, 2024, at 10:30 AM, DSU will inaugurate this state-of-the-art facility at 205 S. State Street, Dover, marking a significant milestone in the cultivation and support of entrepreneurial and start-up culture in Delaware.
The DSU CURE represents more than a co-working space; it stands as a catalyst for the next generation of diverse founders poised to make their mark in the business world.
Micheal H. Casson Jr., Ph.D., Dean of the DSU College of Business said, “The DSU CURE on Loockerman Street is the second of our transformative facilities, complementing the one on Division Street and establishing another crucial anchor for the envisioned creative corridor in the City of Dover. Together, these centers will empower diverse entrepreneurs and foster innovative business ventures, driving economic growth throughout our community. He added, “As we celebrate this new milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to unlocking the entrepreneurial spirit of Dover and revitalizing our urban landscape.”
The DSU CURE distinguishes itself through several key features:
- Advanced Facilities for Innovation: The center boasts an ideation lab fostering creativity and collaboration, a podcast room supporting emerging thought leaders, and private offices enabling established businesses to thrive in a productive, entrepreneurial environment.
- Expert Mentorship: The CURE Coaches program connects entrepreneurs with seasoned business leaders who bring real-world experience and success to their mentoring roles.
- Practical, Intensive Workshops: Training sessions are designed to be interactive and results-oriented, providing entrepreneurs with actionable insights and skills.
- Comprehensive Incubator Program: The CURE Incubator Program is structured to transform promising concepts into profitable, sustainable businesses.
